Basic copper chloride is an excellent source of animal copper, insoluble in water but easily and quickly dissolved in animal intestines. It is stable and has low hygroscopicity, and does not accelerate the oxidation of vitamins and antibiotics. Its biological effectiveness and safety are higher than copper sulfate.
